This notice explains what personal information KP AutoServicing collects when you use our website, booking and roadside services, why we collect it, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR).

What we collect

• Your contact details (WhatsApp / phone number, and email if you give it).
• Your vehicle registration and the details it returns (make, year, MOT/tax status).
• The location you share — a typed address or, if you choose, GPS coordinates — so we can find you for a booking or breakdown.
• The details of the job or problem you describe, and any booking/payment status.

Why we use it (lawful basis)

• To take and manage your booking or roadside request, and to keep you updated — this is necessary to provide the service you asked for.
• With your consent (the tick box on the form) to contact you on WhatsApp and, if you opt in, to send MOT/service reminders. You can withdraw consent at any time.
• Our legitimate interest in running and improving the service and keeping records of work done.

Who we share it with

We only share what is necessary with the providers that run the service: our database and hosting provider, the WhatsApp Business (Meta) messaging service, the DVLA vehicle-enquiry service, and — if you pay online — our payment provider. We never sell your data or share it for marketing.

Cookies

This site does not set any cookie until you choose to. The only cookie we ever use is Google Analytics, which helps us see how many people visit and which pages they use — it does not identify you by name. It only runs if you click "Accept" on the banner shown on your first visit; clicking "Reject", or not deciding at all, means it never loads and no cookie is set. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for this site, which shows the banner again.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and job records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet our legal and accounting obligations, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your details sooner where we are not legally required to keep them.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw consent for messages at any time. To do any of these, contact us at the contact details on our website. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
